What is an AI-native website?+
A site built so AI answer engines can read and cite it, and so AI agents can look up what you offer. In practice: content that directly answers what buyers ask, presence on the sources those answers get built from, reviews, plus question-led extractable pages, JSON-LD schema, an llms.txt file, AI-crawler access, an embedded assistant that answers visitors, and an MCP endpoint that AI agents can query for your business.
Will schema and llms.txt alone get me recommended by ChatGPT?+
No, and we will not tell you otherwise. We tested this. Asking for a recommendation in a local category returned mostly directories and review sites, and the only businesses cited by name were ones that had published content directly answering that question on their own domain. Markup helps your pages parse cleanly and it is worth doing, but on its own it does not put you in the answer. What does: being present and well-reviewed on the sources the answer is assembled from, and publishing the content that answers the actual question. That is what we build. Anyone selling you markup as the whole solution has not run the test.
How is this different from SEO?+
SEO optimizes for Google's ten blue links. We optimize for the single answer an assistant gives, which is assembled from directories, review sites, and pages that answer the question directly. Different reader, different sources, so different work. We do the schema and structure SEO needs too, but ranking is not the goal. Being named is.
Can AI assistants really use my website?+
Yes, within limits. A Beacon Site includes an MCP endpoint (Model Context Protocol) built for your business, so AI agents can look up your services and prices and hand a buyer to you. Ours does exactly that: it returns our services and pricing, and for a booking or a project it passes the buyer to a booking link or a contact form, and a person follows up. How long does a Beacon take to build?+
We scope a Beacon Launch (one AI-optimized page) to go live in days and a full Beacon Site at roughly two weeks. These are targets, not yet measured against a completed client build. Beacon Agentic timelines depend on the custom agents involved and are scoped on a call.
